Tunisian Drug Smugglers Arrested at Casablanca Airport with Cannabis

Four Tunisian nationals were apprehended on Tuesday morning at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca, for their alleged involvement in an international drug and narcotics trafficking case.
Aged between 21 and 30 years old, the 4 individuals were about to board a flight to Algiers, the Algerian capital. The control operation led to the seizure of one kilogram and 160 grams of cannabis resin.
The accused have been taken into custody and placed at the disposal of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, in order to determine any possible ramifications of the network.
According to the statement from the General Directorate of National Security, this operation is part of the strengthening of international cooperation mechanisms in the fight against drug and narcotics trafficking.
