Tunisian Women Arrested at Casablanca Airport for Smuggling Cannabis to Tunis

Elements of the national security at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca proceeded, on Friday, November 8, 2019, to the arrest of two Tunisian women aged 24 and 27. They would be involved in an attempted international drug and psychotropic trafficking.
The arrest of the two Tunisian women took place as they were about to leave Morocco on a flight to Tunis airport, according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The same source indicates that the preventive control operations proved fruitful. In total, 11.460 kg of cannabis resin, hidden under their clothes, were seized.
Pending the determination of all the ins and outs of this case as well as its ramifications at the national and international levels, the two suspects have been taken into custody.
