Tunisia Tourism Minister Touts Southern Landscapes Over Marrakech

In an interview on Tuesday evening on television, the Tunisian Minister of Tourism was questioned about the "Tunisia" destination, which is struggling to regain the figures before the revolution.
For the minister, Tunisia has better landscapes than Morocco. "Tunisia has a lot of potential in terms of tourism and several segments to exploit. In addition to beach tourism, we have cultural, sports, therapeutic, thalasso tourism... I’ve always said it and I’ll say it again: the landscapes in southern Tunisia are more beautiful than those of Marrakech," the minister said, whose remarks were reported by the website businessnews.com.tn.
But to reach the level of Marrakech, investment is needed. "The major problem remains investment," he said, adding that the security problem in Tunisia is overcome because the country has "one of the best security systems in the world, but there are still some points to be addressed such as the environment and hygiene".
