Ivory Coast Seeks Moroccan Expertise to Boost Tourism Industry

The Moroccan strategy for promoting tourism seems to be of great interest to Ivorian officials. Moroccan expertise in tourism is even required in this West African country.
The prospects for cooperation in the field of tourism between Morocco and Côte d’Ivoire were at the center of a working session bringing together the Minister of Tourism, Air Transport, Crafts and Social Economy, Mohamed Sajid, and his Ivorian counterpart, Seyandou Fofana, last weekend in Marrakech. The two ministers discussed ways to strengthen and promote relations between the two countries, expressing their willingness to continue coordination and consultation in the tourism sector.
During this working session, Sajid was keen to indicate, according to the MAP, that the competitiveness of the tourist destination of tomorrow depends on its ability to enhance its heritage, culture, history and civilization.
As for the Ivorian minister, he did not spare his praise for the Moroccan efforts made to promote the tourism sector in the Kingdom. The significant results obtained would be proof of the efficiency of the Moroccan strategy. Fofana therefore expressed Côte d’Ivoire’s willingness to adopt the same scheme, particularly for the promotion of tourism.
