Morocco and Mexico Forge Tourism Partnership to Boost Economic Opportunities

Morocco and Mexico are committed to deepening bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism promotion, in order to enhance their potential and encourage project holders in the sector. This was during a meeting held on February 13, 2020, at the Mexican Senate, between the Moroccan ambassador to Mexico, Abdelfattah Lebbar, and senators and tourism officials in Mexico.
The two parties have established a work plan to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the tourism sector, given the huge economic opportunities it offers and its importance in bringing together two millennial cultures.
On this occasion, Abdelfattah Lebbar stated that the Moroccan government is determined to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the fields of tourism investment and training, in particular through the exchange of expertise and the management of data relating to the tourism sector in the two countries.
The Moroccan diplomat showed the importance of creating a Moroccan-Mexican parliamentary friendship group in the Senate to promote the partnership between the two countries in various fields and to materialize cooperation projects.
For her part, the local Minister of Tourism, Claudia Chavez Lopez, advocated for the multiplication of contacts between officials of the two countries, in order to initiate investment projects aimed at developing the tourism industry. She also invited Morocco to participate in the next edition of the Michoacan gastronomy festival.
