Trial Postponed for Tangier Factory Owner in Deadly Workplace Disaster

The trial of the owner of the AM Fashion factory in which 28 workers died opened this Wednesday, March 10 in Tanger and was postponed to March 24. The first person to appear, the defendant requested a postponement of the hearing for health reasons.
Prosecuted for "involuntary manslaughter", "involuntary injuries" and "violations of the Labor Code", Adil B. requested through his lawyer this postponement to allow him to receive treatment before starting the investigation procedure. The judge approved the lawyer’s request and the accused will continue to receive care in prison.
As a defense line, the lawyer argues that his client "suffers from health problems following his last-minute rescue from drowning in the basement of his factory, in addition to the shock of the death of his 28 employees".
To recall, the prosecution had given instructions for him to be arrested as soon as he woke up from the coma and an investigation had been opened against him and all the people involved in this tragedy.
