Two 11-meter "Metal Shark" interceptor boats were handed over last Thursday by the United States to the Royal Moroccan Navy.
This transfer was carried out as part of the preparations for the next edition of the African Lion military exercise organized in partnership with Morocco.
Worth $970,000, these two boats aim to consolidate and strengthen the capacity of the Royal Moroccan Navy in the fight against illicit trafficking in regional waters.
These two boats also give a special touch to the military partnership between Morocco and the United States, according to a statement from the US Embassy in Morocco.
