Tragic River Accident Claims Moroccan Teen in France; Family Seeks Burial Funds

While Nordine, 18, was having fun jumping into the river from a rock, about six meters high, in the Gardon (Gard), this young Moroccan residing in the Champfleury district of Avignon was fatally injured. An online kitty has been launched to support his family who plan to bury him in Morocco.
The expenses related to the burial of the young Nordine being costly, an online Leetchi kitty has been launched to support his family, reports Le Dauphiné Libéré. "The body may be kept [in the funeral home] for a long time with the covid-19," say the relatives.
But the Moroccan borders are closed until then. "This makes things very difficult... In the Muslim religion, the body must be buried as soon as possible..." laments the entourage, adding that "it is possible that from July 11, Morocco will ease its restrictions a bit." If he were still alive, Nordine would blow out his 19th candle that day.
The grieving family has invited the young people who are used to going to the Gardon to be careful: "When you’re Nordine’s age, you think you’re immortal. He was just with his friends having fun jumping. An accident happens so quickly..."
