Tragic House Fire Claims Family of Four in Northern Morocco

A family tragedy occurred Thursday in the province of Chefchaouen, in northern Morocco, where four people died in a fire at their home, local authorities reported.
The incident took place in the douar Tasmelt. The victims are a couple and their two daughters. Their house, built of rammed earth, was completely destroyed by the flames.
The origin of the fire remains unknown at this stage. Civil Protection services, security forces, and authorities went to the scene of the disaster.
The bodies of the four victims were transported to the morgue of the provincial hospital. The competent prosecutor’s office has opened a judicial investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the fire.
