Tragic Family Dispute in Casablanca: Son Fatally Stabs Mother Protecting Daughter

In Anassi, a family dispute ends in tragedy. A married man and father killed his mother. She had intervened in a violent argument her son was having with his sister. "The mother, while trying to prevent the assault on her daughter, was stabbed in the chest, collapsing to the ground in a pool of blood, in front of witnesses," report sources to Assabah.

An ambulance then arrived on the scene to transport her to the hospital. But this elderly woman succumbed to her injuries before even reaching the hospital. Informed, police services went to the scene of the tragedy to conduct initial investigations and search for the suspect who had fled immediately after the incident, taking his daughter with him. As he was trying to reach the Oulad Ziane bus station to leave Casablanca, he was apprehended by police officers.

After his arrest, the assailant was placed in custody, at the disposal of the investigation, before his presentation to the King’s Attorney General at the Casablanca Court of Appeal. The victim’s body was transferred to the morgue for an autopsy. A judicial investigation is underway to elucidate this tragedy.
