Tragic End: Moroccan Singer Dies After Horrific Burning Attack
The Moroccan singer burned at the third degree after an extremely violent assault in Al Hoceima died on Sunday at the University Hospital Center of Tangier.
The Riffian singer Mustapha Soulet is no more. He died on Sunday at the University Hospital Center of Tangier, from severe third-degree burns. His funeral should take place in his hometown, in the presence of his family, artist friends and many residents who will come to pay him a final tribute.
On Tuesday, the singer had been the victim of an extremely violent assault in Al Hoceima. An individual had dragged him from inside a café located on Zallaka Avenue in the city, before pouring an inflammable substance on him and setting him on fire. He had first been admitted to the hospital in Al Hoceima, before being transferred to a hospital in Tangier to receive the necessary care. He was then transferred to the intensive care unit.
In a statement, the public prosecutor’s office near the Court of Appeal of Al Hoceima confirmed that a person had been set on fire in a public place by another individual. The perpetrator of the crime poured an inflammable substance on the victim before setting him on fire, the same source specifies. An investigation has been opened into the circumstances and details of the incident. The suspect was arrested and placed in custody for the needs of the investigation.
