Shocking Attack: Artist Set Ablaze in Moroccan City, Suspect Arrested
An investigation has been opened after an individual attempted to burn an artist alive in the city of Al Hoceima. The latter is currently in a coma in the intensive care unit.
An unusual incident in Al Hoceima. Images show an individual dragging the artist Mustapha Soulet from inside a cafe located on Zallaka Avenue in the city of Al Hoceima, before pouring a flammable substance on him and setting him on fire. The victim was initially admitted to the Al Hoceima hospital, before being transferred to a hospital in Tangier to receive the necessary care.
In a statement, the public prosecutor’s office near the Court of Appeal of Al Hoceima confirms that a person was set on fire in public yesterday, Tuesday, by another individual. The perpetrator of the crime poured a flammable substance on the victim before setting him on fire, the same source specifies. An investigation has been opened into the circumstances and details of the incident. The suspect was arrested and placed in custody for the needs of the investigation.
According to sources close to the artist’s family, the victim is currently in a coma in the intensive care unit.
