Tourism: Morocco breaks the glass ceiling with 20 million visitors in 2025

Data from the High Commission for Planning shows this exceptional momentum in the labor market. The activity supported 894,000 direct jobs last year, marking the creation of 92,000 positions since 2022. This volume far exceeds the initial target of 80,000 additional jobs expected.

This boom is based on massive influx, erasing the cap of 17.5 million arrivals expected by 2026. On the financial level, travel revenues soar to 138 billion dirhams, generating 18 billion additional foreign exchange compared to government forecasts.

The supervising minister, Fatim-Zahra Ammor, believes that "these figures reinforce the relevance of the strategy undertaken" and its role as a growth lever. These results definitively consolidate the country’s international attractiveness and the central position of this industry in the national economy.
