Tough blow for Noussair Mazraoui... and Morocco

Another blow for the Moroccan team, which has just lost player Noussair Mazraoui, who was injured during the Bayern Munich match against Bochum.
Medical examinations confirmed the seriousness of the injury, indicating a muscle fiber tear. Mazraoui will be out of action for 3 to 4 weeks and will likely miss Morocco’s friendly matches against Angola and Mauritania.
The player was forced to leave the field in the 33rd minute of the match against Bochum and was replaced by Frenchman Dayot Upamecano. This injury is a new blow for Mazraoui, who has already missed several matches with the German team before the Africa Cup of Nations.
Mazraoui’s contract with Bayern Munich expires in the summer of 2026, and the club’s management wants to renew it. The duration of his unavailability could influence the negotiations between the two parties.
In addition to Mazraoui, the Moroccan team will also have to play without Hakim Ziyech and Soufiane Boufal, whose injuries keep them off the field for several weeks.
