Bayern’s Mazraoui Seeks New Role in Morocco National Team

The right-back of Bayern Munich, Noussair Mazraoui, expressed his desire to play in a different position within the Moroccan national football team.
Called upon to play left-back during the 2022 World Cup, he was not always comfortable in this role, and prefers to position himself in midfield or on his usual right flank.
While his performances during the World Cup earned him the support of the Moroccan public, Mazraoui has experienced difficulties in other matches, particularly in the offensive aspect. This is why he has expressed his wish to change position to a member of the technical staff of the Atlas Lions.
This change could involve tactical adjustments for the Moroccan team, and discussions are even planned between Mazraoui and coach Walid Regragui before the start of the qualifications for the 2026 World Cup.
Noussair Mazraoui missed the last two matches of the Atlas Lions due to injury. Often left on the bench within Bayern Munich, he has threatened several times to change and leave.
