Thunderstorms and Snow Hit Morocco’s Atlas Mountains as Temperatures Drop

The National Meteorology Directorate announces, this Saturday, thunderstorms in some regions of Morocco and some snowfall on the peaks of the High and Middle Atlas mountains.
These thunderstorms will be feared in the North, Center, Rif, Mediterranean, Saiss, Oriental, the Atlas mountains, their neighboring regions and the Southeast. As for the High and Middle Atlas reliefs, they will be covered by some snowfall.
Furthermore, the minimum temperatures in the morning will be around 0 to 6 degrees on the Atlas mountains and the Rif, 6 to 14 degrees on the Oriental, the Saiss, the Mediterranean, the Tangier region, the northern and central plains, the phosphate and Oulmès plateaus, the Souss and the Southeast, and 14 to 21 degrees on the far Southeast and in the southern provinces.
In the afternoon, it will be between 9 and 15 degrees on the Atlas mountains, the Rif and the eastern high plateaus, 15 and 23 degrees on the Oriental, the Saiss, the Mediterranean, the Tangier region, the northern and central plains, the phosphate and Oulmès plateaus, the Souss and the southeastern slopes, 23 and 30 degrees on the Southeast and the north of the southern provinces, and 30 and 35 degrees on the rest of the southern provinces.
