Morocco Braces for Scorching Heat Wave with Temperatures Set to Hit 44°C (111°F)

Temperatures that could reach 44 degrees are expected this Wednesday, May 27 in several regions in Morocco. The alert issued by the National Meteorology Directorate (DMN) a few days ago is confirmed.
According to the DMN, we expect between 10 and 17 degrees on the Atlas Mountains, the Rif and the far north of the Oriental, 24 and 31 degrees on the Saiss, the interior of the Gharb, the plains of Tadla, Tensift and Rehamna, the Souss, the Southeast and the interior of the southern provinces and 17 and 24 degrees elsewhere.
In the afternoon, it will be between 20 and 27 degrees on the Atlas Mountains, the Rif, the Mediterranean, the Tangier region and the far north of the Oriental, 27 and 34 degrees on the rest of the Oriental, the southeast slopes and near the Atlantic coasts, 34 and 41 degrees on the Saiss, the northern and central interior plains, the phosphate and Oulmès plateaus, the Souss, the Southeast and the north of the southern provinces and 41 and 44 degrees on the rest of the southern provinces.
