Morocco Braces for Scorching Heat Wave with Temperatures Soaring to 42°C

This Friday, May 29, Morocco should experience high temperatures, ranging from 11 degrees in the morning to 42 degrees in the south of the country in the afternoon.
Very hot temperatures are expected on the interior plains, the Southeast and the interior of the southern provinces. They will be accompanied by unstable clouds, with thunderstorms on the High and Middle Atlas, the southeast slopes and the Oriental.
In the morning, it will be between 11 and 17 degrees on the Atlas and Rif reliefs, 23 and 27 degrees on the southeast and the interior of the southern provinces and 17 and 23 degrees on the rest of the country.
In the afternoon, temperatures should rise significantly. They will be between 20 and 26 degrees on the Atlas, the Rif and the coasts, 27 and 34 degrees on the Oriental and the north and central Atlantic coasts, 33 and 38 degrees on the phosphate and Oulmès plateaus, the southeast slopes, the interior plains, the Souss and the north of the southern provinces and 40 and 42 degrees on the far south and southeast of the country.
