Morocco Swelters as Temperatures Soar to 45°C (113°F) Amid Heatwave

The heatwave continues in Morocco, the day after the Eid al-Fitr holiday, with temperatures well above 40 degrees. This Monday, May 25, they should be between 11 and 45 degrees.
The heat wave is to be feared in the Souss, the southeast and the south of the country with unstable foci accompanied by showers or thunderstorms on the Atlas mountains and their neighboring regions.
On the temperature side, it will be between 11 and 17 degrees in the morning on the Atlas mountains, the Rif and the eastern High Plateaus, 24 and 30 degrees on the Saïss, the interior of the Gharb and the Loukkos, the plains of Tadla, Tensift and Rehamna, the Souss, the southeast and the interior of the southern provinces and between 17 and 24 degrees elsewhere.
In the afternoon, temperatures will be between 24 and 30 degrees on the Atlas mountains, the Rif, the eastern High Plateaus, the far north of the Oriental, the Mediterranean and the Tangier region, 30 and 36 degrees on the rest of the Oriental, the southeast and near the Atlantic coasts, 36 and 43 degrees on the Saïss, the northern and central interior plains, the phosphate and Oulmès plateaus, the Souss, the far southeast and the north of the southern provinces and between 43 and 45 degrees on the far south of the country.
