Morocco Braces for Extreme Heat Wave with Temperatures Soaring to 44°C (111°F)

The heat wave is still persisting in Morocco. The temperatures expected during this Tuesday, May 26, 2020 will be between 40 and 44 degrees.
Apart from the unstable clouds in the afternoon and evening with showers or thunderstorms in places on the Atlas mountains, their neighboring regions and the Oriental, it will be excessively hot on the interior plains, the Souss and the south of the country.
In the morning, it will be between 20 and 25 degrees on the plains of Tadla, Rhamna, the interior of Gharb and Loukkos and on the southeast, and between 12 and 18 degrees elsewhere.
In the afternoon, the maximum temperatures will be between 24 and 30 degrees on the reliefs, the Mediterranean coast, the Oriental and near the coasts, 34 and 39 degrees on the Saïss, the western Rif, the northern and central plains, the phosphate and Oulmès plateaus and the southeast, and 39 and 44 degrees on the interior of Gharb, the plains of Tadla, Rhamna, the Souss and the southern provinces.
