Three Arrested in Morocco for Impersonating Police, Robbing Motorists
The elements of the judicial police of Tetouan dismantled a network of three fake police officers who were defrauding motorists. Repeat offenders, they were the subject of several complaints filed by their victims.
Their latest victim, a motorist, was beaten up in Mdiq before being deprived of his vehicle, a sum of money and his smartphone, reports Aujourd’hui Le Maroc. Aged between 20 and 35, they were active in the region and had committed several offenses. Based on the complaint of their latest victim, the Tetouan police elements carried out a large-scale sweep operation that led to the recovery of the vehicle abandoned by the defendants.
Thanks to the fingerprints taken from the vehicle, one of the suspects was arrested. His revelations made it possible to identify his accomplices who were arrested and placed in custody for the needs of the investigation.
