Morocco: Auxiliary Force Agents Arrested After Violent Assault Video Surfaces in Tétouan

Three elements of the auxiliary forces have been placed in pre-trial detention in Tétouan. The publication of a video shot on a scene of violence would be at the origin of their arrest confirmed by the public prosecutor near the court of this city.
Delivering the progress report of the investigation conducted on this case, the Public Prosecutor near the Tétouan court, Mr. Abderrahim Fala, indicates that the accused were arrested because they were identified in a video showing an individual in uniform caught in the act of physically assaulting a person. The agent in question and his teammates were apprehended and placed in detention for the purposes of the investigation, the Prosecutor’s Office statement said.
The three individuals placed in pre-trial detention are indeed elements of the auxiliary forces, a statement from the Public Prosecutor said.
