Two Homeless Suspects Arrested for Rape of Elderly Foreign Resident in Rabat

Two young homeless people were arrested by the elements of the Rabat security, accused of having raped a foreign national. After being presented before the investigating judge, they were placed in pre-trial detention.
Their arrest took place last week. It follows a complaint for rape, filed by the victim, a 78-year-old foreign national permanent resident in Morocco, reports Al Akhbar. She gave a precise description of the alleged rapists to the investigators. In her complaint, she recounts having been the victim of a violent assault in an upscale neighborhood of Rabat where she resides. The investigation proved fruitful. The two criminals who were living in extreme vagrancy were arrested last week.
After being placed in custody and a confrontation between them and the still shocked victim, they were brought before the investigating judge. The latter ordered their placement in pre-trial detention. Prosecuted for rape, theft and vagrancy, the two accused were referred to the Attorney General of the King near the Court of Appeal of Rabat.
