Knife-Wielding Man Attacks Security Officer at Moroccan Tourist Hotspot

An auxiliary forces agent was violently attacked with a knife in the coastal area of Taghazout. The perpetrator of the attack is said to suffer from mental disorders, according to local authorities.
The attack took place during an intervention led by the local authorities supported by elements of the Auxiliary Forces. They were called to neutralize a man suffering from mental disorders, who went out on the balcony of a restaurant hosting many tourists, waving a knife, reports the MAP.
It was while trying to disarm him that he violently attacked an element of the Auxiliary Forces. The agent was immediately transferred to the Military Hospital in Agadir, due to the seriousness of his injuries.
