Moroccan City Councilor Stabbed in Alleged Sand Mafia Attack

The municipal councilor of the Left Federation in the city of Larache, Mounir Boumloui, was attacked with a knife. The main suspect carried out his threat.
In a statement, the local office of the Left Federation in Larache said the municipal councilor had been threatened by an individual with a criminal record who promised to kill him. This man would be known for his involvement in the mafia of sand theft in the region. He would be the author of this attack suffered by the councilor Mounir Boumloui.
According to the same source, the attack left "deep wounds and serious injuries", which according to the doctors, require the victim to observe a period of incapacity of more than 40 days, renewable.
Considering the seriousness of this attack which could have cost the victim’s life, the party demands the opening of an investigation to punish the perpetrator of his acts, and to reveal to the general public all the cases of extortion, threats and attacks of which the councilor is a victim.
