Thales Expands Cybersecurity Footprint with First African Security Operations Center in Morocco

The Thales group, a world leader in cybersecurity, has announced the opening of a new proximity security operations center in Morocco, the first in Africa.
The objective is to provide Moroccan and African administrations and companies with effective cybersecurity monitoring resources, a press release from the group states, specifying that since the Covid-19 pandemic, these companies are increasingly exposed to a high risk of cyber attack.
The new operational center thus reinforces Thales’ presence in Africa. It adds to the first 6 installed in Canada, France, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and which constitute an international network operating according to a model called "Follow the sun" which accompanies more than a hundred clients continuously in the world, with an unequaled level of responsiveness and flexibility, the note points out.

The launch of this SOC testifies to the Group’s ambition in the service of the development of security infrastructures in Africa, close to the needs of its clients. Beyond our analysis capabilities, we offer them access to a hybrid solution of consulting and supervision of their activity, a guarantee of skills development and autonomy in the long term," said Hicham Alj, Managing Director of Thales Morocco.
