A sextortion case has just erupted in the city of Chichaoua. A primary school teacher fell into the trap of a harasser who was posing under a false profile.
On a dating site, the teacher fell for a person who was pretending to be a widowed teacher.
The teacher did not hesitate to send intimate photos to him until he realized that it was an impersonator. A few days later, the impersonator demanded the sum of 20,000 dirhams under threat of publishing the photos on the Internet and revealing his identity.
Under pressure, he finally decided to file a complaint with the police specialized in the fight against cybercrime. An investigation has been opened to determine the identity of the author of the fake account.
