Businesswoman Blackmailed for $15,000 in Temara Sextortion Scandal

Victim of several sextortion attempts, a woman from the city of Temara finally decided to go to the police station, with her husband, to file a complaint.
The case is reported by the newspaper Al Akhbar, which explains that exchanges on Facebook between a married woman and another man ended in a physical meeting and sexual relations that the man immortalized by filming them. The latter, according to the newspaper, took advantage of this to blackmail her and demand money from her under threat of broadcasting their intimate moments on the internet.
After paying 150,000 dirhams in two installments and faced with the man’s insistence on having more money, the victim finally told her husband, who then decided to file a complaint at the Temara police station.
A few days later, the blackmailer was arrested in Meknes, his hometown, before being placed in custody. During the investigation, he claimed that the victim was not only consenting but also never mentioned her marriage.
