Taxi Drivers Arrested in Tangier After Dangerous Airport Road Chase Goes Viral

Two taxi drivers in Tangier were arrested on Thursday, December 26, after a video was posted on social media showing them driving in a dangerous and irresponsible manner.
The incident took place on the road leading to Ibn Battouta International Airport. In the video, one of the taxi drivers deliberately tries to hinder the progress of his colleague, thus endangering the safety of other road users.
Alerted by the dissemination of these images, the Tangier police services quickly identified and apprehended the two drivers.
A judicial investigation has been opened under the supervision of the public prosecutor’s office to determine the exact circumstances of this incident. According to the initial elements, it seems that professional disputes are at the origin of this road altercation.
