Tangier Shisha Bar Owner Arrested After Deadly New Year’s Eve Fire

Legal troubles have just begun for the owner of the shisha bar that caught fire on the evening of December 31 in Tangier. He was arrested and prosecuted for manslaughter by decision of the public prosecutor near the court of first instance of Tangier.
Tough times for the owner of this shisha cafe, who in addition to having lost his business, must answer for the fire that caused the death of two people, as well as significant material damage, on New Year’s Eve. He was incarcerated, as well as the manager of the cafe at the local prison of the city, after the end of their custody which had been extended for the needs of the ongoing investigation, reports barlamane.com.
They are being prosecuted for involuntary manslaughter due to non-compliance with applicable standards and for arson of real estate belonging to third parties, fault and negligence. The trial is due to begin on January 10, the same source specifies.
