Tangier Prepares for Royal Visit as King Mohammed VI Expected in Northern Morocco

Tangier is undergoing a metamorphosis in anticipation of the visit of King Mohammed VI. The Moroccan sovereign is also expected in Tetouan for the celebration of Eid al-Adha.
King Mohammed VI will soon be in the northern regions of the kingdom. Tangier, which will mark the first stage of this visit, is transforming and beautifying itself. Local authorities and elected bodies are in a race against time to decorate public spaces and pave the streets. Most neighborhoods and major cities have been decorated with plants, trees and flowers. Many sidewalks have already been repainted.
For now, the details of the visit and its schedule are not yet officially defined, but it is expected that the sovereign will give the start of the Eid al-Adha celebration ceremonies in Tetouan. It will also be a question for King Mohammed VI to examine the social and economic situations in these different regions of the kingdom.
