Tangier: Police storm a luxury villa, a wanted "baron" has vanished
A targeted police operation targeted a residential complex on Saturday afternoon. Investigators from Tétouan and Tangier raided a villa in search of a suspected trafficker, but the individual had left the premises before the arrival of the law enforcement forces.
The security services were acting on the basis of precise information concerning a certain Karim. This suspect is suspected of organizing the transport of drug shipments to Spain. His name came up during a related investigation, following the arrest of an individual in possession of hashish who revealed the involvement of this baron in the trafficking network in northern Morocco.
The operation mobilized elements of the judicial police to secure the perimeter and search the suspected residence of the suspect. Despite the deployment within the residence, the agents found no trace of the wanted man, who seems to have anticipated the arrival of the police units.
Faced with this finding, the authorities immediately issued a nationwide search warrant. The hunt is now continuing nationwide to locate this alleged link in the international trafficking network and bring him before the courts.
