The local authority services of the 7th administrative annex under the Boukhalef urban district of the city of Tangier are tackling street vendors, shop owners, cafes and restaurants that illegally occupy public spaces. This campaign to free up public space is already bearing fruit. Goods displayed on the street without a license, carts pulled by animals for the sale of vegetables and fruits, which disrupt traffic, especially in roundabouts or narrow passages, as well as tables and chairs belonging to cafes and restaurants in the area have been seized.
The campaign is welcomed by the residents of the Mesnana neighborhood and its surroundings. They express their satisfaction and hope that it will be a deterrent measure for the operators of the sidewalks and streets without a license. It is planned that it will continue in the coming weeks.
