Tangier Beaches Upgrade Amenities for Summer 2024 Season

Tangier is preparing to welcome vacationers and Moroccans living abroad for the 2024 summer season. The local authorities have finalized the development of the municipal beaches, particularly those of Achakar and Chams, in order to offer vacationers a pleasant and secure setting.

Wooden walkways facilitate access to the beaches, economic and leisure activity areas have been developed, sanitary facilities, security posts and civil protection presence points have been set up. In short, accessibility, cleanliness and safety.

Essential services for optimal comfort: free parasols, selective sorting, showers at the entrance to the beaches... everything is planned so that vacationers can fully enjoy their stay, the municipality said in a press release.

The aim is to maintain the city of Tangier as a must-visit tourist destination. By focusing on the quality of the beaches and services, the municipality hopes to attract both Moroccan tourists and many Moroccans living abroad who come there every year to spend their holidays.
