In the Houara sector, agents first intercepted a heavy truck transporting sand illegally extracted from a beach. Later in the day, a second intervention took place in another area, allowing authorities to stop another vehicle potentially loaded from the same site.

On instruction from the public prosecutor’s office, both drivers were taken into custody. The judiciary opened an in-depth investigation to identify all individuals involved in these illicit activities.
