Tangier Airport Nears Full Recovery, Passenger Numbers Approach Pre-Pandemic Levels

At the end of last July, the number of passengers who transited through Tangier airport reached 701,737, according to data from the National Airports Office (ONDA).
This volume represents a recovery rate of 95% for passengers compared to the same period in 2019, the office specifies in its latest report on commercial air traffic, noting that the same observation applies to all airports in the North and the East.
These airport platforms have recorded recovery rates equal to or greater than 100% compared to the same pre-Covid period (Tetouan: 378%, Oujda: 111%, Nador: 101%), the statement said.
For the month of July alone, the number of passengers who transited through Tangier was set at 179,214, compared to 141,436 travelers during the same period in 2019.
In total, Moroccan airports welcomed 9,813,316 passengers, through 89,648 flights. This represents, according to the office, a recovery rate compared to the same period in 2019 of 70% for passengers.
