Tanger Med Port Joins Global Initiative to Secure Supply Chains Amid Pandemic

How to ensure the continuity of the supply of world markets in the context of the health crisis of the coronavirus? To answer this question, the port of Tanger Med has committed itself alongside the global giants of the port sector.
Tanger Med is in the very restricted club of major international port hubs by signing a commitment to the Singapore Port Initiative. Among the other signatories, we find Shanghai, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Long Beach, Busan, etc.
The objective of such an initiative is to continue to supply world markets, despite the crisis of the covid-19 pandemic. They exchanged on the measures and plans put in place, to ensure a permanent supply of global logistics chains.
By deciding to join such an initiative, Tanger Med demonstrates its willingness to continue to maintain its position as an indispensable African and Mediterranean port hub. It intends, through this act, to allow world markets to continue to be supplied. The major port hubs engaged in this initiative are thus establishing a collaboration between them in order to capture many new opportunities.
