Swiss Tourists Stranded in Morocco Amid Flight Cancellations and Embassy Closure

Like many Swiss, two sisters from Vaud are stranded in Morocco, after the suspension of flights.
Flights chartered by Swiss companies are multiplying, but several Swiss are left out. Closed Swiss embassy, unavailability of reliable information, systematic cancellation of booked flights. This is the nightmare that Chloé and her sister are living, who should have returned from a stay in Morocco this weekend. The two sisters find themselves in a confusing situation.
In a tweet, Ambassador Guillaume Scheurer said that steps are underway to organize flights and urged the Swiss to consult the websites of airlines and the embassy for updates on the situation. The two Vaudois feel abandoned to their sad fate and are saddened by it.
For its part, the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs assures that contacts have been made with the Moroccan authorities for the departure from Marrakech of five flights from companies based in Switzerland. Other flights will follow during the week, it continued, while asking Swiss nationals to use the media, communications from local authorities and websites to stay informed.
After obtaining the information, the two Vaudois finally left Morocco, while hoping that the companies that canceled their flights will reimburse them.
