Morocco Extends Ban on International Flights Until May 31 Amid COVID-19 Concerns

Morocco has decided to extend the suspension of commercial flights until May 31 at midnight, due to the covid-19 pandemic.
This decision, announced by the French and British embassies in Morocco, in a tweet, does not lead to a resumption of flights as of June 1. According to Medias 24, the suspension may be extended at any time.
This decision was confirmed by the Directorate of Civil Aviation through a NOTAM (notice to airmen or messages to air navigators), issued on April 19, the day after the extension of the state of health emergency and confinement until May 20.
In addition to France and the United Kingdom, this decision also concerns all other countries. According to the British diplomat, the only way to leave the country is to take the special repatriation flights organized by his government.
As for the special repatriation flights organized by foreign governments, they are subject to negotiations and the diplomatic approval of the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
