Swedish Woman Left Homeless in Morocco After Romance Turns Tragic

Abandoned by her lover and her family in Chichaoua, a young Swedish woman finds herself homeless and lost in the streets of the small town in southern Morocco. The specialist doctor has diagnosed psychological disorders.
Came to join her lover who had promised her marriage, the young woman arrived in Morocco in January 2019. She defied distance and traditions to realize her dream, that of marrying the person she was madly in love with.
She expected everything except to be abandoned to her fate. One day after setting foot in the country, her Moroccan lover chose to disappear, leaving the Swede in shock and her family in total dismay.
Abandoned by her lover and then by her family, the young Swedish woman finds herself homeless, wandering the streets of Chichaoua, before being taken care of by the Moroccan Center for Human Rights. This structure has asked the authorities and civil society to take the necessary measures to save the Swedish national from vagrancy and ensure her protection and then her return to Sweden under good conditions.
The Center also deplores the state of the young woman and denounces the inaction of Moroccan associations and NGOs, which are supposed to welcome women in difficult situations, and whose role is to ensure their protection and support them legally, medically and psychologically.
