Heroic Senegalese Man Dies Attempting to Rescue Dog from Moroccan Pond

A humane but, above all, courageous gesture cost the life of a Senegalese national who tried to save a dog from drowning. The latter, trapped in a large pond, was fighting to escape certain death.
A semblance of a pond, located on an agricultural farm, in the Chichaoua region, was about to swallow a dog, which was struggling to get out, when a young man of Senegalese origin ventured to save it.
He had made a mistake, as he was trapped in the pond. Unable to keep his balance in the water, the young Senegalese lost consciousness and died, in a sad and, above all, very moving scene.
The local authorities, as well as the services of the Royal Gendarmerie and Civil Protection, went to the scene of the accident. An investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances of the death, while the body of the deceased was taken to the morgue of the Provincial Hospital of Marrakech.
