Study Ranks Safest Countries for Solo Female Travelers, Morocco Not in Top 10

Morocco is absent from the top 10 safest destinations for women traveling alone. This is revealed by a study conducted by a travel company.
The British sports insurance company SportsCover Direct has published its 2022 solo travel index. It shows that Morocco is not among the top 10 safest destinations for women traveling alone. At the top of the global ranking is Spain, which has a safety score of 212.04 and an overall score of 47.4 out of 50. Ireland is in second place, followed by Austria, Portugal, Croatia and Switzerland. Canada (7th) and Singapore (8th) then follow. Norway and France (with the highest safety score of 309.92) complete the podium.
The safety score is of great importance. According to recent studies cited by the index, there is a growing trend among millennials to prefer solo travel (58%), while nearly 50% of women consider safety concerns as the main obstacle preventing them from traveling alone.
It should be noted that Morocco has risen to fourth place in the global ranking of safe destinations for solo travel.
