Student Arrested After Violently Assaulting Teacher for Preventing Cheating in Morocco

A student at Khaled Ibn El Oualid High School, located near Berrechid, violently assaulted his math teacher for preventing him from cheating.
After catching the student in the act of cheating, the teacher forced him to return his exam paper. The accused refused, grabbed the teacher by the neck and hit him violently in the face. The other students intervened to end the incident.
Alerted, the teacher’s colleagues intervened and the gendarmerie went to the scene to arrest the accused before referring him to the competent public prosecutor’s office in Berrechid. The victim was taken to a hospital in Settat where he received appropriate care, particularly to the eye.
