Moroccan Teachers Assaulted After Reporting Exam Cheating During Baccalaureate

Several Moroccan teachers have been victims of physical assaults after reporting students who cheated during the baccalaureate exam.
Despite the many measures taken by the authorities, cheating at exams persists over time. In two different videos posted on social media, we see students and parents assaulting teachers during the baccalaureate exam. One of them shows the assault of a teacher from a preparatory secondary school in Khénifra. While he was supervising the exam room, he caught the student in question in the act of cheating and reported the candidate. The latter was banned from the school the next day. Angry, he waited for the teacher to leave the establishment, before attacking him with a glass bottle. He was helped by other people. Injured, the teacher was admitted on Wednesday, June 22, to the provincial hospital of the city, to receive the necessary care. Informed, the police arrested the aggressor student.
The second video shows the physical assault of a teacher in an exam room in Larache. The facts took place on June 21. The teacher caught three baccalaureate candidates using "VIP" devices to cheat during the exam. He immediately reported them. An act he will pay dearly for. As he was on his way home, he was violently assaulted by one of the alleged cheaters.
