Spanish Police Solve Murder of Moroccan Man in Drug Theft Gone Wrong

After several months of investigation, the Civil Guard has finally solved the murder of a missing Moroccan, whose lifeless body was found in Novelda (Alicante) last December. The victim was killed while trying to steal drugs from a rival gang.
The investigation was opened after a complaint filed by the victim’s brother, who had not heard from him for several days. In their investigations, the agents met a person who told them that he had seen the victim and two other men come to the chalet to steal drugs belonging to a Polish network. A shootout broke out, during which the young man was shot in the head, reports Información.
The two accomplices of the Moroccan fled, abandoning his lifeless body on the spot. The Polish traffickers then took care to bury him, before fleeing to France and Germany. Remains of his body and slippers were found months later by a hiker walking through the mountainous area of Novelda on Christmas Eve. A DNA test allowed the investigators to confirm that it was the missing young man.
Thanks to international cooperation, the alleged perpetrators were located and arrested. They are two men and a woman who were extradited from France and another from Germany. They are accused of alleged murder, membership in a criminal group, drug trafficking, illegal possession of weapons, etc. The two accomplices of the victim were also arrested for attempted murder, illegal possession of weapons, violent theft and membership in a criminal group.
