Moroccan Man Killed in Drug-Related Shooting on Spanish Farm

Mohamed Lmouden, a 42-year-old Moroccan, was killed in a shootout between drug traffickers on a farm in El Rincón (Huelva). The two alleged perpetrators of the murder are in pre-trial detention.
The victim, who lived in the Puente de Vallecas neighborhood, was known to the police for violent theft, fraud or drug trafficking. According to the investigation report of the Guardia Civil judicial police to which Vozpópuli had access, the events took place on June 21, 2022, the date on which Mohamed, accompanied by a woman and another Moroccan, had rented a Peugeot 3008 to go from Madrid to Huelva for a drug transaction with members of a family known in the region. But the operation was interrupted after they spotted a National Police patrol.
The two parties later agreed on another meeting at the farm in El Rincón. "When he opened the trunk, three hooded people came out, carrying weapons including a gray revolver, a pistol and a shotgun," said one of the "collaborators" of the family clan. A shootout then broke out, in which Mohamed lost his life. The 90 kilos of hashish he had come to collect were found near his body. The weapons used by the family were hidden by Joaquín P., one of the people arrested for Mohamed’s murder.
The victim "died during a drug exchange that went wrong and a shootout broke out," explained his lawyer, Alfredo Arrién Paredes. Two alleged perpetrators of the murder are in pre-trial detention and other arrests could occur before the end of the investigation ordered by the Huelva investigating court. The defendants will be tried before a jury. Mohamed’s family is claiming compensation of around 150,000 euros.
