Spanish Police Bust Major Moroccan Hashish Trafficking Ring, Seize 5 Tons

The Spanish Civil Guard arrested about a hundred drug traffickers on Saturday in an international operation against drug trafficking from Morocco. In total, more than 5,000 kilos of Moroccan hashish and 230 kilos of marijuana plants were seized.
The arrested drug traffickers, in addition to Morocco, were also operating in the Sevillian city of Dos Hermanas and the ports of La Línea de la Concepción (Cádiz) and Manilva (Malaga), the Civil Guard reports in a press release.
These traffickers, members of a criminal organization, provided other criminal organizations with boats, fuel, food and crews. This led the police to open an investigation, which revealed that an organization had launched the boats between the cities of Sévillas of Isla Mayor and Puebla del Río, a marshy and therefore difficult to access area.
