Spanish Police Bust Fake Marriage Ring Charging Moroccan Migrants €6,000

Specializing in white marriage, a Moroccan-Spanish criminal network has just been dismantled by the Spanish security services. It pocketed 6,000 euros for fake marriage contracts between Spanish citizens and Moroccan undocumented immigrants.
According to Akhbarona, six suspects of Moroccan and Spanish nationalities, including 3 women, aged 32 to 48, are being prosecuted for document forgery and incitement to illegal immigration.
The threads of this case were unraveled when Moroccans, victims of fraud, had filed complaints with the Spanish police services. The members of the network had promised to regularize their situation in Spain, with the help of white marriage contracts, in exchange for the sum of 6,000 euros.
By integrating them into the register of a small municipality near Granada, the Moroccans could benefit from the residence permit in Spain and free movement throughout Europe.
