Spanish Officer’s Quick Action Saves Moroccan Woman’s Life in Bus Station Emergency

The scene took place on Wednesday, November 21 near a bus station in Soria, in northern Spain. Having lost consciousness, a young Moroccan woman was about to lose her life by suddenly swallowing her tongue.
The incident, recorded by surveillance cameras, caught the attention of a Guardia Civil agent who, by chance, was nearby and rushed to the young woman’s aid.
The agent managed to clear the victim’s airway, thanks to his mastery of rescue techniques acquired during security agent training courses, reports the local press.
The vigilance and sustained effort of the Guardia Civil agent allowed the young woman to gradually resume normal breathing and escape certain death.
The Moroccan woman, who did not speak a word of Spanish, warmly thanked the police officer before continuing on her way, the same source specifies, however, without indicating whether an ambulance was called to the scene.
