Spanish National Arrested at Tanger-Med Port with Over 1 Ton of Cannabis Resin

An operation carried out by the security forces at the Port of Tanger-Med resulted in the seizure of drugs and the arrest of an individual suspected of drug trafficking.
The police services operating at the Port of Tanger-Med arrested a 51-year-old Spanish national on Saturday afternoon, following precise information from the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance (DGST).
This arrest made it possible to thwart an attempt to traffic 1050 kg of cannabis resin (chira) on board a utility vehicle registered abroad.
The drug trafficker was taken into custody as part of the investigation pending his appearance before the courts.
